– Have you been optimizing your website for voice search? Well if you ain't really gonna get [ __ ] because in the future everyone is starting use devices like Alexia from Amazon, to search for voices. Hello everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share with you how can you generate more search traffic using Voice Search. (upbeat music) So the first advice I have for you is to make sure your site supports the HTTPS framework. If a website is HTTPS, based on what we found, it is much more likely to drive traffic from voice search. We have noticed that more than 65% of voice search results They are from sites that have HTTPS. The second advice I have for you is to build authoritative dominance. This is not going to happen overnight. You won't be the next Forbes or Huffington Post or Business Insider, but you can still be the authority within your niche. What we found are sites that have many links, lots of amazing content, social shares, good user experience, overall they are authority because they deserve it too, they are the ones getting The Lions part of the Voice Search Traffic.

And if you, yourself, don't have an amazing site or an incredible experience, and you don't feel your authority, Okay, just do something to fix it. Improve your content Improve your design Reach the people you link to your competitors and ask them for a link. Go further and further with your marketing to be the leader. If you are not one to be the leader, you're not going to get the traffic from voice search.

The next advice I have from you, And this comes from my friend Brian Dean if you want to do well in voice search you need to make sure your website loads fast It needs to be precisely 4.6 seconds or faster. That is more than 50% faster than the average web page. So if your website loads fast you are most likely to get Voice Search traffic. If you load slow, you probably won't get that traffic. Do you know how fast your website loads? Leave a comment below. If you don't go to Google PageSpeed, put on your website, let us know what your scores are and how fast is it loading Last but not least you need to have short answers within your content. This is what I mean by this. If you want to go after Voice Search, similar to normal SEO, pages with more than 2,200 words perform better than pages that are 500 words, or 600, or 700. The more content you have, the more Google can index for different terms, more traffic you can potentially get. Within that content you want to have quick and short answers For example, if you rhyme writing an article that breaks SEO and a whole beginners guide you, maybe I'll have a title called, What is SEO? So I can have one or two sentence answer what is SEO That's an example of in-depth content, right? How can I use headings in content in depth, and use short answers because that makes it easier for Google to provide answers to people So if you follow all those tips you can generate much more traffic through voice search.

I know it's not popular though, I know it won't make up for most of your traffic, but you have to be on top of things because it will eventually make it much more popular and you don't want to be fighting at the last minute to get that extra search traffic. So thanks for looking. If you enjoyed this video leave a comment, like, share, subscribe, let other people know, and thank you.
